This week on Alan Warren Outdoors

This week on Alan Warren Outdoors

Something is wrong when hard working, honest people are put out of business and an entire industry is threatened, when state agencies turn against their residents, descending on them with indefensible force (with the media acting as their willing accomplice).

What state? What people? What industry?

You’ll be stunned (or at least I hope you are) when you hear my first guest this week. She and her husband are living in a real life Twilight Zone and their lives have been turned upside down.

And if the state has their way, it will become a nightmare for others too (and maybe even a nightmare for YOU).

I hope I’ve teased you enough to join me for a few minutes when Rhonda Brakke shares her story that threatens to bankrupt her family while she has been forced to slaughter the wildlife that she loves.

It’s a story of Big Brother using “the system” to CRUSH hard working farmers and their attack on an industry. Something is wrong; bad wrong with this. I think that you’ll agree.

And see how one South Carolina school taught a crazed, gun toting student a real lesson! Click here now.

I’ll see you at 9:00am CT.

Special Assignment

It’ll be a “Best of” show this week folks.

I’m on special assignment (seriously) and will be returning to the studio next week. You’re going to like what we’ll be talking about!

In the meantime, keep your eyes on Reed Exhibitions (the promoters who’ve canceled the Eastern Sportsman Show). Their decision to postpone the show is only the beginning of this story!

Remember, you’ve got access to all of our radio shows. Subscribe and download them at iTunes.

We’ll see you next week!

On This Week’s AWO Radio Show

On This Week’s AWO Radio Show

Here’s what we’ve got lined up for this week’s AWO Radio Show:

1.Have we LOST kids to technology? Is there no hope? I’ll tell you what I witnessed this week at a middle school in Dallas.

2.Is the income realized from “hunting” really that important to landowners? Could they survive without the income derived from killing animals?

3.What happens when you cross a 300 inch whitetail with 100 inch whitetail genetics? Think you know the answer?

4.Looking for a new place to hunt in Texas? We’ve found a good one and I’ll tell you about it.

And I’ll give a report on the feedback we received from last weeks monologue “If I Wanted to Disarm Americans”. Most folks seemed to really like it (except one part). And they REALLY didn’t like that part. If you missed the monologue on disarming America, click here to listen.

It’s not too late to sound off and voice your thoughts and comments. Call our 24 hour voicemail at 1-855-AWO-Show (1-855-296-7469).

See you in the morning starting at 9:00am CT.

Here’s what on tap….

Here’s what on tap….

Here’s a quick preview of this weeks radio show:

1. What is the proper age to introduce kids to hunting? Some bureaucrats are trying to RAISE the age that kids can hunt (and they’re using the recent school shootings to advance their agenda). So what do you think?

2. Outdoor Writer Bob Frye from Pennsylvania and Evan Heusinkveld from the National Shooting Sports Foundation will chime in and give us “their take” on when (and how) to get kids involved in hunting and at what age they believe is right. What they say may surprise you.

3. Show regular Charly Seale will give us a report as to what’s happening in the world of endangered wildlife and if progress can be expected in the President’s second term. I think I know the “tone” of what Charly’s going to say! If you’ve not listened to Charly Seale, he’s cool as a cucumber and he drives the wacko animal rights folks crazy!

So what are YOUR thoughts on the proper age to introduce kids to hunting?

And just one more question…under what circumstances will YOU surrender your firearms? Basically, where do you “draw the line”?

Please don’t give me some high and mighty “from my cold dead hands”.

Seriously, where do you draw the line and what do you think is the best strategy to send a non violent message to the gun grabbers?

Our 24 hour voicemail is taking calls right now at 1-855-AWO-Show (1-855-296-7469).

Here are some of the topics we’ll be talking about this week:

1. Gun Grabbers and what one state organization is doing (or rather what it’s keeping its sites on).

2. Chronic Wasting Disease- Yes. CWD is still a very hot topic and we’ll find out why some outdoor publications are refusing to run advertisements that expose the Myths of this always-fatal disease.

3. We’ll also be talking about Outdoor Education and answer questions from listeners about “how to get Outdoor Ed classes started in their area”. If you believe that Outdoor Education classes would be a perfect fit in your area schools and in your community, don’t miss this morning’ show. The “Godfather” of the wildly successful Outdoor Ed program and head of the National Partnership for Outdoor Education, Inc. (Ferris Bavousett) will be in the studio with me. Ferris is a one-of-a-kind motivator.

To be a part of the show, just click on the link below starting at 9:00am CT on Friday. It’ll be two hours of lively discussion and YOU are invited.

I look forward to visiting with you.

Why did HSUS hang up on the Alan Warren Outdoors show?

Posted on December 18, 2012 by Alan Warren in Featured, Uncategorized Leave a comment

He did it. The master of half-truths, (Wayne Pacelle) the President of the Humane Society of the United States called into the show this past week; where we had a nice (somewhat civil) exchange of ideas.

As always, when I pressed Wayne Pacelle for specific answers he provided slippery diversionary tactics and changed the subject. Then, when a caller from the Center for Consumer Freedom (a Humane Society WATCHDOG group) called in, Wayne couldn’t take it.

Check out the story on the following link: http://humanewatch.org/index.php/site/post/hsus_tucks_tail_and_runs/

I do enjoy getting animal rights folks on the show. Seriously. They are experts at bending and exploiting stories to their own financial benefit. I’m all for Capitalism but let’s be a bit more honest. HSUS gives an infinitesimally small amount of their 100+ million dollars in annual revenue to local shelters (and most of their donors don’t even realize it).

So who wants to call and visit this week?

I hope you’ll join us! If you’d like to leave a voicemail you can do it 24/7 by calling toll free 1-855-296-7469. We may play your clip on the show.
